High School DxD (Japanese: ハイスクールD×D Hepburn: Haisukūru Dī Dī, alternatively written as Highschool DxD)[note 1] is a Japanese light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The story centers on Issei Hyodo, a perverted high school student who is killed by his first date, revealed to be a fallen angel, but is later revived as a devil by Rias Gremory to serve her and her devil family.
High School DxD began serialization in Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Magazine in its September 2008 issue. The first volume was released on September 20, 2008, with a total of eighteen volumes available in Japan as of June 20, 2014 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunkoimprint. A manga adaptation by Hiroji Mishima began serialization in the July 2010 issue of Dragon Magazine, and later in the March 2011 issue of Monthly Dragon Age, with six volumes currently available as of April 9, 2014. An anime adaptation by TNK aired onAT-X and other networks from January 6, 2012 to March 23, 2012. The anime is licensed in North America by Funimation, in the United Kingdom by Manga Entertainment and in Australia by Madman Entertainment, however Madman is currently unable to release the series in New Zealand due to it being refused classification.[6] A second season, called High School DxD New (ハイスクールD×D NEW Haisukūru Dī Dī Nyū?), also aired from July 7, 2013, to September 22, 2013. A third anime television series is currently in development.[7]
Plot
Kuoh Academy (駒王学園 Kuō Gakuen) is a former all-girls school that has recently turned co-ed, but it has a secret. Unknown to normal humans, angels, fallen angels and devils comprise part of the student population. One of these students, Issei Hyodo, is a lecherous second-year human student who lives a peaceful life. After an ordinary school day, Issei is suddenly asked out on a date by a girl named Yuma Amano. After their date, Yuma brings Issei to a local park and makes a startling request. She reveals herself as Raynare, a fallen angel, and she tries to kill him. Using his summoning card, Rias Gremory, a buxom third-year student at Kuoh Academy, revives him. Issei wakes up the next morning, thinking that the events that occurred were all just a dream. Immediately after being attacked by another fallen angel and waking up, he notices Rias naked in his room. Rias reveals to Issei her true identity as a devil and says that as a result of his death at the hands of Yuma, she has reincarnated him as a devil, becoming his new master in the process.

Questo anime erotico ha riscosso un enorme successo, ma è, ovviamente, destinato agli amanti dell'anime e, soprattutto, del "genere".
Io trovo che sia molto divertente con "maschietti" alla Moroboshi dispersi tra le taglie extra-size di donnine decisamente molto "coinvolgenti".
La trama è quella che è, e non possiamo urlare al capolavoro assoluto.
Nel suo "ambito" High School DxD è sicuramente tra gli anime migliori e più coinvolgenti.
Guardatelo! Anche per pura curiosità. Vi sorprenderà ...

High School DxD (ハイスクールD×D Haisukūru Dī Dī, scritto anche come Highschool DxD) è una serie di light novel giapponese scritta da Ichiei Ishibumi e illustrata da Miyama-Zero. Il primo volume di High School DxD fu pubblicato il 20 settembre 2008 e al 20 febbraio 2014 la serie conta 17 volumi.
Un adattamento a manga di Hiroji Mishima fu inizialmente pubblicato sulla rivista Dragon Magazine a partire dal numero di luglio 2010, per poi proseguire la serializzazione sulla rivista Monthly Dragon Age a partire dal numero di marzo 2011. Al 9 gennaio 2014 sei volumi sono stati pubblicati da Fujimi Shobo. I diritti per la pubblicazione di un'edizione in lingua italiana sono stati acquistati da Panini Comics, acquisizione annunciata in occasione dell'edizione del 2013 della manifestazione Romics, e i volumi sono in corso di pubblicazione tramite la divisione Planet Manga da gennaio 2014.
Un adattamento ad anime è stato prodotto dallo studio TNK a partire dal2012 e trasmesso sulla rete AT-X in versione integrale e su reti locali in versione censurata nel video. La prima stagione di 12 episodi è andata in onda dal 6 gennaio al 23 marzo 2012, seguita da due episodi OAD pubblicati in allegato ai volumi 13 e 15 della serie di light novel. Una seconda stagione di 12 episodi, intitolata High School DxD New, è andata in onda dal 7 luglio al 22 settembre 2013. La produzione di una terza stagione è stata resa nota il 16 giugno 2014 dall'editore Fujimi Shobo.
