Magic Kaito 1412 - [A-1 Pictures, 2014]

The October issue of Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday Smagazine is announcing that A-1 Picturestelevision anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's Magic Kaito manga will premiere on October 4 at 5:30 p.m. JST. New episodes will air every Saturday. The magazine also lists that the anime will be a "completely new work" and that Conan will appear.
The original Magic Kaito manga revolves around a young budding magician named Kaito Kuroba who follows in his late father's footsteps as the legendary thief Kaitō Kid. The character has since appeared inDetective Conan stories, often as a formidable rival.






Kaito Kuroba is a seventeen-year-old high school student who is an adept magician due to the influence of his father, Toichi Kuroba who died mysteriously. Eight years after his father’s death, Kaito discovers a secret room in his home that was set up by his father to reveal itself on that very day. Finding Kid the Phantom Thief's gadgets and costume in the room, Kaito dons the disguise and decides to confront Kid who has recently resurfaced after his eight years of absence. Kaito discovers Kid to be Konosuke Jii, his father's butler, who ascertains Toichi was the first Kid the Phantom Thief. Jii reveals he took on the role as Kid to lure out Toichi's murderer. Upon learning that his father was murdered, Kaito continues the role of Kid the Phantom Thief as he searches for his father's killer.
The anime is part of a project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Detective Conan manga's serialization in Shonen SundayA-1 Pictures is animating the series that will air in the time slot before the Detective Conan anime.
The manga was adapted into a series of television specials in 2011. Gosho launched the manga in 1987 but put the series on hiatus in 1988. The manga has been serialized irregularly since then. The fourth compiled volume shipped in 2007.
Broadcaster YTV's official English website reports that Magic Kaito 1412 will be 24 episodes.
Magic Kaito 1412 will premiere on October 4.

Kaito Kid Animation
Dopo alcuni special TV, qualche apparizione nei film e nella serie televisiva dell'occhialuto investigatore, giunge il momento per il ladro prestigiatore Kaito Kid di avere una serie TV tutta sua.
Lo annuncia il settimanale Shonen Sunday di Shogakukan come uno dei progetti attuati per il ventennale di Detective Conan.

Sarà sfida guardie e ladri anche all'interno dei palinsesti poiché il nuovo anime di Kaito Kid andrà in onda a partire da Ottobre nello slot appena precedente a quello dell'anime di Conan.
A realizzare la nuova serie animata sarà lo studio A-1 Pictures.

Kaito Kuroba è un ragazzo liceale che si diletta nei giochi di prestigio. Grazie al maggiordomo del defunto padre, Toichi Kuroba, scopre che il padre era Kaito Kid, il ladro gentiluomo, e che Toichi Kuroba non è morto durante un gioco di prestigio, ma è stato assassinato. In seguito Kaito prende il posto del padre nel ruolo di Kaito kid nella speranza di attirare l'organizzazione che ha ucciso il padre. Durante i furti viene contrastato dall'ispettore Nakamori, padre di Aoko, compagna di classe di Kaito.


Kaito Kid compare come serie manga disegnata da Gosho Aoyama nel 1987, ma dopo una repentina pausa è stato pubblicato irregolarmente fino al 2007 (quarto volume). In Italia il materiale disponibile è stato pubblicato da Star Comics.
