The official website for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump announced on Monday that Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga will end in this year's 50th issue of Shonen Jump on November 10.

Kishimoto stated in 2012 that the series was rising towards its climax, and that he already had the ending in mind. Later the same year he said that he had a year and a half more to go with the story.

Kishimoto has been serializing the ninja manga inShueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1999, and Shueisha will publish the 71st compiled book volume in Japan on November 4. Viz Media will publish the 67th volume in North America on Tuesday. The series ranked 4th among the top 10 Shonen Jump titles in terms of volume sales in 2012.

Dopo una sorta di prolungato tira e molla sull'entrata del manga nella sua fase culminante e successivi sviluppi e prolungamenti nello sviluppo della storia, il sito ufficiale di Shonen Jump ha comunicato che Naruto di Masashi Kishimoto giungerà alla sua conclusione con il numero di Shonen Jump in uscita il 10 novembre in Giappone. Tra cinque ulteriori capitoli dunque.

Termina (terminerà) così la lunga serializzazione di un'opera iniziata ormai 15 anni or sono sulle pagine di Shonen Jump e di cui sono stati pubblicati finora 70 volumi, trasmessi 600 episodi della serie anime, realizzati diversi film (di cui uno denominato "The Last" che uscirà il 6 dicembre) e svariati speciali animati oltre ad altri prodotti correlati e venduti non solo in Giappone ma anche in molti paesi del mondo.
