Plot Summary: Far off in space, the asteroid Kumaria blew up, sending bits and pieces to rain down on Earth. For reasons unknown, this causes all the bears ("kuma" in Japanese) to simultaneously rise up and begin attacking humans. Finally, a giant "Wall of Severance" was built to divide them from each other and end their ceaseless war and hatred. In the human world, at Wuthering Heights Academy, Kureha and Sumika are friends who've fallen in love. When they find a lily blooming in their favorite flower bed, their eyes meet...and all at once the Bear Alarm starts ringing, signalling that the human world is under attack.

Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Mawaru Penguindrum) is directing the anime at the studio SILVER LINK, and Etsuko Sumimoto (animation director on Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion, Honey and Clover II) is adapting the original character designs by manga creator Akiko Morishima for animation. L'apertura di un sito ufficiale ha svelato il nuovo progetto animato dello studio Silver Link (Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya) che avrà alla regia il ben noto Kunihiko Ikuhara (Utena, Mawaru Penguindrum). Il nuovo anime sarà Yuri Kuma Arashi basato su un manga di Akiko Morishima, in corso da febbraio sulla rivista Comic Bird di Gentosha. La serie sarà trasmessa a partire dal 5 gennaio prossimo su Tokyo MX e altre emittenti affiliate,  mentre il 7 dicembre è stata tenuta una proiezione di anteprima al Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku a Tokyo, con la presenza dello stesso Ikuhara e della doppiatrice Miho Arakaw.
La storia "fantasy intellettuale" ha come protagonista Kureha, una liceale "trasparente" che viene a malapena notata dalle altre persone. Kureha però praticamente ogni notte fa uno strano sogno "su un orso e una tempesta trasparente" in cui la sua (misteriosa) compagna di classe Ginko Yurishiro le appare sotto forma di un orso.

Trama (dal sito ufficiale):
Un giorno, nelle profondità dell’universo, l’asteroide Kumaria esplose.
I frammenti dell'asteroide causarono una pioggia di meteoriti che si abbatté sulla Terra. Quando ciò accadde, per qualche motivo tutti gli orsi sulla Terra si ribellarono simultaneamente, attaccando l’umanità! In “Uomini contro orsi” gli orsi mangiavano gli uomini, e gli uomini mangiavano gli orsi, in una catena senza fine di lotta e odio. Alla fine, tra uomini e orsi fu eretto un enorme “Muro di Estinzione”, grazie al quale il conflitto terminò.

Mondo degli umani.
Una mattina, le studentesse dell’Accademia Arashigaoka Kureha Tsubaki e Sumika Izamino, mentre erano da sole, si imbattono in un giglio che sboccia in un'aiuola fiorita. Le due sono allo stesso tempo amiche e amanti. Il prato è per loro un luogo importante. Si guardano negli occhi, e in quel momento scatta l’assordante “allarme orso”! Gli orsi sono penetrati nel mondo degli umani, attaccandoli!
Saranno davvero quegli orsi…? Un mistero tira l’altro in rapida successione! Si alza il sipario su Yuri Kuma Arashi!

Girl Friend Beta [ガールフレンド(仮) Girl Friend Kari] - [SILVER LINK] - [2014]

Shiina Kokomi is a hard working but even tempered high school girl who is the lead performer in her school's rhythmic gymnastics club. The story follows her and her growing circle of friends as they support each other through the various trials and situations that comprise high school life.

The anime adapts CyberAgent's social romance simulation game of the same name. The five previously announced cast members are reprising their roles from the original 2012 smartphone game.
Naotaka Hayashi (Morita-san wa Mukuchi, Magi - The Kingdom of Magic assistant director) will direct the anime at the studio SILVER LINK (No-Rin, C³, Baka and Test). Michiko Yokote (Love Stage!!, No-Rin, Genshiken) will handle series composition.Noriko Tsutsumiya (Dragonar Academy, C³, Kokoro Connect animation director) isdesigning the characters based on original character designs by QP:flapper (MM!, Oreimo 2, Sora no Method).
Kadokawareleased the first issue of the special Girl Friend (Kari) Magazine on August 22. The magazine included four manga series that focus on specific characters from the anime. Tsukako Akina launched the Girl Friend (Kari) Kokomi Shiina ~Koi Shite Madonna~ manga in the September issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine on July 26.
CyberAgent's blogging website Ameba started service for the game for smartphones in 2012. As of June 2014, the number of registered users has passed 5.3 million. The game features over one hundred girls for the player to date, each voiced by a different voice actress. Some of the game's cast includes Yui Ogura as Momoko Asahina, Nana Inoue as Kazumi Kawabuchi, Megumi Toyoguchi as Akiho Shigetō, and Yukari Tamuraas Koruri Tokitani
The series will premiere in Japan on October 12.

Probabilmente a molti il nome Girl Friend BETA (Girlfriend Kari), dirà poco o nulla ma, a quanto pare, in Giappone questo è il titolo di un social game per cellulari smartphone parecchio popolare al punto di raggiungere e superare i 5 milioni di utenti registrati. Tale popolarità non è certo passata inosservata al resto dell'industria dei contenuti giapponese. E difatti a fine giugno è arrivato l'annuncio di una serie anime ispirata al gioco e che sbarcherà in TV il 12 ottobre. Maggiori dettagli sono stati resi noti in occasione dell'evento live all'Akihabara UDX Theater di Tokyo ove è stato presente lo staff della produzione.

Essendo inoltre presenti oltre 60 diverse eroine all'interno del gioco, molto ricco si prospetta già il cast che potrà essere presente nel futuro anime. Tra le Seiyuu che sono presenti nel gioco figurano infatti nomi noti quali Rina Sato, Kaori Mizuhashi, Yui Ogura, Megumi Toyoguchi e Yukari Tamura. Nel cast dell’anime Tra i primi 20 nomi presentati troviamo: Kaori Nazuka, Sakura Tange, Satomi Satou, Hitomi Harada, Rina Satou, Haruka Tomatsu, Kaori Ishihara, Minori Chihara, Minako Kotobuki, Maaya Uchida, Yukari Tamura, Rie Kugimiya, Emiri Katō, Noriko Shitaya, Kikuko Inoue, Minami Tsuda, Ayahi Takagaki, Ai Kayano, Aoi Yūki e Houko Kuwashima.

L'anime sarà prodotto presso lo studio SILVER LINK (No-Rin, Fate Kaleid Prisma Illya) con la regia di Naotaka Hayashi (Morita-san wa Mukuchi), la composizione serie di Michiko Yokote e il character design di Noriko Tsutsumiya (Dragonar Academy).

Il social game di Girl Friend Beta ha raggiunto a giugno di quest'anno in Giappone la ragguardevole quota di 5,3 milioni di utenti.
