FF VII - Cid Highwind Character Introduction + Cid Highwind Theme Rock version (Guitar)

Cid Highwind (シド・ハイウインド Shido Haiuindo) is an airship pilot and the most uncouth of the main characters, constantly swearing, losing his temper^[36] and smoking cigarettes. In Final Fantasy VII, Cid is encountered in Rocket Town, where it is revealed he had been part of Shinra's space program and was set to be the first man in outer space. During the launch, however, an engineer named Shera defied his orders and stayed behind to double-check the rocket's oxygen tanks, leading Cid to abort the mission to save her life. Shinra subsequently concluded that space exploration was not financially viable, after discovering that Mako energy was a far more profitable venture, and they withdrew funding from the project altogether.^[37] Cid blamed Shera for destroying his dreams to go to space, and she devoted herself to doing whatever she could to atone for her "mistake", even while Cid continued to verbally abuse her.^[38] However, her concerns regarding the oxygen tanks were eventually proven to be correct when an explosion temporarily traps Cid during a later successful attempt to launch the rocket. Knowing this, Cid is able to forgive her,^[39] and by the time of Dirge of Cerberus, they had married, and Cid had named his new airship after her. He was listed by IGN as one of the top 10 characters most needing a spin-off.^[40]

 Cid also appears in Before Crisis and in Advent Children, where he briefly rejoins the party to fight against Bahamut SIN. In Dirge of Cerberus, he aids the World Regenesis Organization in launching an attack on Deepground headquarters, and later in fighting Omega WEAPON. Outside of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, he appears in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts coded. He is voiced in Japanese by Kazuhiro Yamaji^[41] and in English by Chris Edgerly.^[29]

We made this MEP for the exhibition Toulouse Game Show (TGS AMV Contest 2012, organized by AMV-France).

We are really proud to say we won First Prize and the audience award with this MEP. =)

The rules of the contest was to choose one or several musics in the imposed music pack, and make this MEP in a time-constraints of 1 week.

The Story of Menstruation is a 1946 10-minute American animated film produced by Walt Disney Productions.^[3] It was commissioned by the International Cello-Cotton Company (now Kimberly-Clark)^[4] and was shown in a non-theatrical release to approximately 105 million American students in health education classes.^[2]

History

It was part of a 1945 to 1951 series of films that Disney produced for American schools.^[5] Gynecologist Mason Hohn was hired as a consultant to ensure that the film was scientifically accurate.^[4] Hohn was hired to increase the likelihood that school doctors and nurses would allow the film to be shown.^[4] Hohn's involvement led to a stronger emphasis on biology than other marketing by ICCC.^[4] The Story of Menstruation increased its reputation when it received the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.^[2]

It was one of the first commercially sponsored films to be distributed to high schools.^[4] It was distributed with a booklet for teachers and students called Very Personally Yours that featured advertising of the Kotex brand of products, and discouraged the use of tampons, where the market was dominated by the Tampax brand of rivals Procter & Gamble.^[4]

Plot

The film uses animated diagrams to detail the menstrual cycle.^[5] The film's narrator, who is not identified in the credits, informs the viewer that "there is nothing strange or mysterious about menstruation," and it shows women engaged in such activities as bathing, riding a horse and dancing during their menstrual cycles. The film's narration also provides advice to avoid constipation and depression, and to always keep up a fine outward appearance.^[3]

The Story of Menstruation is believed to be the first film to use the word vagina in its screenplay.^[3] Neither sexuality nor reproduction is mentioned in the film, and an emphasis on sanitation makes it, as Disney historian Jim Korkis has suggested, "a hygienic crisis rather than a maturational event."^[6] The menstrual flow was depicted as snow white instead of blood red.^[5]

The film's copyright was renewed by Walt Disney Productions on December 3, 1973.^[7]

Ronia the Robber's Daughter (山賊の娘ローニャ Sanzoku no Musume Rōnya) is a computer-animated anime series, based on the book Ronia the Robber's Daughter (Ronja Rövardotter) written by Astrid Lindgren.^[2] The series is directed by Gorō Miyazaki and animated by Polygon Pictures, and co-produced by Studio Ghibli.^[3] Miyazaki stated, "Ronia the Robber's Daughter is a story not just about a girl who grows into adulthood, but it is also a story about the love and growth between a parent and a child, and a story about the bonds between friends. My goal is to create a work that everyone, from children to adults, will be able to enjoy."^[4]

Ronia, the only child of a bandit chief, grows up among a clan of robbers living in a castle in the woodlands of early-Medieval Scandinavia. When Ronja grows old enough she ventures into the forest, exploring and discovering its wonders and dangers like the mystical creatures that live there. She learns to live in the forest through her own strength, with the occasional rescue by her parents. Ronia's life begins to change, however, when she happens upon a boy her own age named Birk.
