The official website for the television anime of Hideyasu Takahashi's Mysterious Joker (Kaitō Joker) manga began streaming a commercial for the series on Friday. The commercial features the opening theme "Kaitō Miracle Shonen Boy" (Mysterious Miracle Young Boy) by Aruka Rider.
In the story, there is nothing in the world that the mysterious phantom thief Joker cannot steal. He goes after one treasure after another in unpredictable capers with seemingly miraculous tricks.
Takahashi began the manga in Shogakukan's Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic magazine in 2007, although it then moved to the main Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine. The manga won the children's category of the 58th Shogakukan Manga Awards last year.

L'uscita del diciassettesimo volume ha portato, insieme alla fascetta pubblicitaria che lo avvolgeva, l'annuncio di una serie anime per Kaitou Joker (Mysterious Joker), manga per bambini di Hideyasu Takahashi. La nuova serie è già prevista per l'autunno con trasmissione sulle reti Tokyo MX e KIDS STATION dal 6 ottobre.
Il protagonista Joker avrà la voce di Ayumu Murase (Hinata di Haikyuu!!) mentre il suo assistente ninja Hachi avrà la voce di Yumiko Koabayashi; i rivali di Joker, Spade e Queen, saranno invece doppiati da Hiro Shimono (Keima di The World God Only Knows) e Miyuki Sawashiro (Jun di Natsume Yuujinchou) rispettivamente; Silver Heart, il mentore di Joker, Spade e Queen, avrà la voce di Bin Shimada (Babidy/Broly di Dragon Ball Z); infine tra gli antagonisti Naoki Tatsuda (Oolong di Dragon Ball) sarà il commissario Dogusaburō Oniyama e Nobuo Tobita (Bidan di SD Gungam) darà voce all'infido industriale Mister Kaneari.
L'anime sarà prodotto dalla compagnia ADK con le animazioni realizzate dalla Shinei Animation (al lavoro su molti film di Doraemon e Shin-chan) che ha affidato la regia a Yukiyo Teramoto (Doraemon: Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan) e il character designe a Miho Shimogasa (Ultra Maniac). La supervisione generale della serie sarà poi a cura di Dai Sato (Ergo Proxy, Space Dandy)
