Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the anime of Itokichi's Orenchi no Furo Jijō (The Circumstances in My Home's Bathtub) four-panel manga. The first episode will premiere on October 6 at 12:00 p.m. EDT for premium members and one week later for free members. Thestream will be available worldwide outside of Asia.
Crunchyroll describes the story:
Get ready for a heartfelt comedy about a teenage boy named Tatsumi who is frequently housing some strange guests; including Wakasa, a good looking mermaid who has taken over his bathtub! This cute but selfish freeloader is a perfect match for the cool but tender and caring Tatsumi. Let's see how they get by together!
Sayo Aoi (Deadman Wonderland, Say, "I Love You". episode director) will direct the series at Asahi Production (Alice in the Country of Hearts: Wonderful Wonder World). Yuniko Ayana (Kin-iro Mosaic, Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-) will handle the series composition and Koji Haneda (Sengoku Paradise Kiwami) will handle the character design. Matenrou Opera is performing the anime's opening theme song.
The anime series will premiere in October.

Lo scorso maggio la rivista Comic Gene di Kadokawa ha dato anticipazioni di un futuro adattamento anime per il manga Orenchi no Furo Jijou (Le circostanze nella vasca da bagno di casa mia), un 4-koma realizzato dal mangaka Itokichi 2011. L’anime debutterà il 6 ottobre.
La coppia di protagonisti formata da Tatsumi e dal "sirenetto" Wakasa sarà interpretata rispettivamente da Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka in Free!, Shido in Date A Live) e Yuichiro Umehara.
Per gli altri personaggi principali troveremo Ibuki Kido (Kasumi), Kenjiro Tsuda (Maki), Natsuki Hanae(Mikuni), Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Takasu) e Yoshihisa Kawahara (Ahiru-chan).
La serie verrà realizzata dalla Asahi Production con la regia di Sayo Aoi e la supervisione di Yuniko Ayana (Locodol) con il character design a cura di Koji Haneda.
